Tow Trucks

The other day, I saw a tow truck on its way to tow a car. The car was in a ditch and obviously needed to be towed out. Usually that’s the way it works: A car has to be towed if it can’t be driven, there’s usually no other way to do it. In other words, if someone really needs a tow truck, they must call a towing company.

We all have problems in our lives; we go to a doctor for physical problems, a mechanic for car problems, a tutor for learning problems, and so on. What about our everyday emotional or spiritual problems? Who can you go to? Who will come “tow you” out of a jam?

If we didn’t address any of these problems, things don’t get better. No doctor- you stay sick. No mechanic- your car gets worse. No tutor- you’ll get a bad grade. The same things happen for our emotional/spiritual problems. If you don’t address them, they will never get better.

We must remember all the people we can go to with our troubles, doubts, questions, and worries. 1) God is always there for you. 2) Your family will never leave. 3) Your true friends will be there for whatever you need.

If we let our problems stay in the ditch, they can pile on more and more. When you need a tow, don’t hesitate to turn your troubles to God: Pray for your problems to be helped. Go to a friend and talk about them. You will feel ten times better.

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
